I first met Jenny at college where we were on the same floor of Cedars house. We were a lively group and Jenny was always part of the fun. We had a reunion every year after we left and Jen was always there. On our 50th anniversary Jen organised the lunch at the pub and helped get everyone together. By then Tony and I were living in New Zealand so we stayed with Jen and Bernard on our visit. We were so pleased to have them visit us while they toured NZ. My three memories of Jen are cows, shelter belts and a knife! While in NZ Jenny wondered why so many cows were put into one paddock when all the others were empty. We had to explain that they were moved twice a day to get fresh grass. Jenny was also fascinated by the very narrow and tall hedges that shelter our kiwifruit. The knife will be a constant reminder as Jen gave it to us when we were touring the UK and needed it for picnics. It is now my weeding knife! I think Jenny would have approved of its use in the garden. Jenny was a lovely person and a special friend and we will miss her so much.
