Jenny was a lovely lady for whom there will always be a place in my heart. For eight years she was my mother-in-law and I could not have hoped for better parents in law, than her and Bernhard. I was the first to go to university in our family and was always grateful for the advice that she offered me which I could not find elsewhere. I will always remember her guiding me how to write a book review for my degree. Had she been my English teacher at school I am sure I would not have failed my O’level first time around as she took this very unpromising student and enabled me to get an A for my book review. The best mark for written work I had ever achieved. As well as this she was a wonderful and inspired cook. Kind, generous, fun, adventurous, creative and an asset that the world is now poorer without. That, and without doubt, the creator of the finest vanilla dumplings in culinary history.

Jenny will be sadly missed by Deidre and Brian. We have such happy and wonderful memories of being on holiday with Jenny and Bernard.

Remembering a lovely kind, sensible and wise cousin who also had a great sense of humour and of the ridiculous!
Always a twinkle in her eye!
Also she hosted some memorable family reunions where we would celebrate anyone who had a special anniversary or birthday with an 0 on the end of the number and always with cake! Special times!
With love Kate and David Matthews
